Welcome American client’s architects to visit Dorian factory and discuss the project details

The client was Indonesian and immigrated to the America for many years. He also have his own factory in Indonesia and America, which are mainly used for producing kinds of glass. He inquired the steel structure project to Dorian in May 2024, and came to visit the factory in June 2024 after received the Dorian’s solution, the project will be used for storing glass and working office.

The solution has been updated many times since Dorian received the inquiry. Because the project will be located in USA, all the details need to comply with the local regulations, plus the high import tax and building approval issue, it proceed slowly than what we expected. This time, the client arranged his engineer team to Dorian factory to discuss the complete modification details face to face and plan to order within April 2026.

Dorian team picked the client’s architects up in the Zhengzhou East Railway station in the evening of March 17th, 2026 and dropped them off the hotel after dinner. In the morning of the second day, Dorian took architects to visit the factory, the production process of steel columns and steel beams of main steel frame and secondary frame, including the purline, tie bar, roof and wall support etc have been visited, the architects are highly approves of the product quality. By the way, the delivery process also been shown to the engineers, Dorian adopt the steel pallets to make all of the goods into together as one unit inside of each container, which can keep the balance to avoid the breakage of goods. Furthermore, it can also be unloaded more conveniently and quickly, it only use the truck crane with the steel rope to pull the steel pallets out is done after hoisting the containers from truck and place it to the ground.

After finishing the visiting for the production workshop. Dorian and engineers started to discuss the project details in the office, there are some points need to be modified, the irregular big door was required to change into the regular door, the height at the eave from the 10.8m changed into 10.5m, the length and width means the distance between the outside panels to outside panels, and the most importantly, the wind load and mezzanine load were also changed in to heavier than previous one. All of this modifcation  would result to the big difference in the cost after calculated by Dorian engineer, the client engineer also know this situation. Then Dorian engineer set out to modify the drawing start from the afternoon.

In the afternoon, we took them to the local tourist attractions, Longmen Grotto, which are one of China’s Four Great Grottoes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, acclaimed as the pinnacle of Chinese stone carving art. Every year, the site attracts countless tourists from home and abroad.

In the third day, we took architects to visited the panels workshop, the galvanized steel sheet, EPS sandwich panels, Rock wool sandwich panels and PU/PUR/PIR can also shown to them. For their project, the last scheme is that the roof adopted the 150mm PU edge rock wool sandwich panels and wall use 100mm thickness of PU edge rock wool sandwich panel. After visiting the panel workshop, the client engineer proposed replacing the previous panels with 150mm thickness full PU for roof and 100mm thickness of full PU sandwich panels for wall, the insulation performance of full PU sandwich panels are better than PU edge rock wool sandwich panels and this type and thickness can meet the insulation requirement what local authority required. Dorian engineer finished the update proposal and quotation after two days the client backed to America. After they checked and studied the update solution, they asked Dorian make another solution for panels, 120mm thickness of PIR sandwich panels for roof and 100mm thickness of PIR sandwich panels for wall to compare.

So far, Dorian team has updated about fifteen times proposal for based on the client’s needs. The latest proposal is studying and their engineering team are in the process of converting details to U.S. standards, including feet and inches etc for applying the approval more quickly.

The client is a middleman from Santiago, Chile.He has been traveling frequently to China since 1994 and known about China a lot. He mentioned that he has witnessed China’s development firsthand, noting that China has grown extremely rapidly and fast, and that the quality of Chinese products is also excellent, that’s why he inquired and import goods from China.

He inquired about Dorian about a two storey of living house for his own project and a 10*20*7m steel warehouse for his friend. Two days before his visit to Dorian’s factory, he received the proposal and quotation of steel warehouse, which he had been studying. He came to mainly talk the details about the living house, he would like to build this house as a sample to local people and show the quality of China to convince the local people recognize the China suppliers.

Dorian team picked the client at the noon of March 20th, 2026 at Longmen Station. Then the client visited the factory after having lunch. The professional production equipment, like Flame cutting machine, Laser cutting machine, Assembly machine, Sub-merged arc welding machine, Straightening machine and Sand-blasting machine and Eco-friendly spray paint are shown to the client, which can meet the requirement for any large span steel structure project, the client was specially cares about the sand blasting process, which is mainly use the super high tiny metal ball to blast for steel surface, it can not only eliminate the dust&corrosion, and can also increase the adhesion of steel surface, this is one of the most necessary step during the whole production process. Dorian’s products quality and manufacturing scales are highly recognized by client after visited them.

It worth noted that the laser cutting machine, Dorian mainly adopt is fiber laser cutting machines, which can cut various metal sheets such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and galvanized steel, and can also cut various pipes, including square tubes, round tubes, channel steel, H-beams, and angle steel, completing hole drilling, beveling, and blanking in one integrated process.

Furthermore, for other high-precision forming and processing of complex holes, irregular shapes, connecting plates, reinforcing plates, and base plates for steel structures, it replaces traditional processes such as flame cutting, plasma cutting, sawing, and punching, achieving automated blanking.

After visited the manufacturing process, Dorian team took the client to office to discuss the project details, the client took his own drawing to show Dorian team, Dorian engineer found that it’s truss structure structure in the drawing and there were not the exact columns in it, so the engineer recommend reasonable position for steel columns and beams based on the client’s own drawing, and also recommend H-shape steel columns and beams instead truss structure, the sketch drawing was also provided for client check, since H-shape steel is easier to load and unload, and can also save much container space to save sea freight accordingly. The client will confirm with his own engineer whether our solution is workable for them and will feedback us later. The client plan to adopt insulation materials for roof and natural stone+wood material for wall, he will purchase them locally. For the decoration part, the client also would like to do them locally for maintenance more conveniently and easily.

In addition, the client mentioned that he needed steel mesh to be used as fence, but the prices of the suppliers he found on Google were too high. Then he hoped that Dorian's team could help to recommend or find suitable suppliers. On January 29, 2026, Dorian was honored to host a distinguished client from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, at Dorian’s factory in Luoyang, China. Before that, having held two meetings with the client in Bulgaria in 2025, Dorian provided a project plan and quotation for a 22-meter, 90-meter long, and 7-meter high single slope structure with rock wool sandwich panels . At the client's invitation, the Dorian team also visited the client's project site and company. During the conversation, the client mentioned that they were awaiting local building approvals before proceeding with the project.

In early January, the client said the approval had been received and they wanted to visit the factory. Dorian team was on hand to greet the client and his father, escorting them directly from their journey to a carefully selected local restaurant for a welcoming lunch. During the meal, we discovered that it was the client's birthday. To make the occasion special, Dorian team arranged a surprise birthday celebration. The client was both surprised and deeply moved by the gesture, which set a positive and friendly tone for the business discussions to follow.

The afternoon was dedicated to showcasing the tangible evidence of capabilities. The clients walked through production lines, observing firsthand the quality of workmanship, the precision of fabrication processes, and the advanced technology Dorian employ in every project. They examined raw materials, inspected weld quality, and discussed quality control protocols with engineers. This transparency allowed them to witness the rigor and attention to detail that define a Dorian structure.

After the tour, Dorian convened in the conference room for a detailed project discussion meeting. Dorian delved into the specific requirements for the Plovdiv site. At this meeting, the client mentioned that they had only obtained a building permit for 1200 square meters, so the factory dimensions were revised to 22 meters wide, 55 meters long, and 7 meters high.  

Furthermore, after confirming the project dimensions, discussing project specifications, anticipated timelines, logistical considerations for shipping, and the unique technical requirements for constructing in the Bulgarian climate and regulatory environment. Because Bulgaria experiences heavy snowfall and low temperatures, thick insulation sandwich panels are required. In addition, PU-sealed rock wool panels were selected for the better thermal insulation performance and building's aesthetics.

This project will serve as the client's main warehouse for paper products and will be gradually expanded.Based on the client's needs, the Dorian engineering team designed a preliminary plan on-site, presented it to the client, and answered all questions regarding the drawings, ensuring complete alignment between both parties on the project scope and objectives. The dialogue was productive and collaborative, reflecting a shared vision for the project's success.

The client was very satisfied with Dorian's proposal, but he want to compare the price differences between different thicknesses, therefore, the client requested Dorian to provide three different price ranges and quotations for their reference, using50mm, 75mm, and 100mm thick PU-sealed rock wool panels.

The following day, we led clients on a tour of Dorian’s local project, a steel furniture industrial park. The industrial zone spans 3,300 acres, which includes five five-story workshop buildings, showcasing Dorian’s corporate strength. They walked through the workshops, examining the innovative design of the buildings, the structural integrity of the multi-story frames, and the seamless integration of functional spaces. The clients were visibly impressed, praising the project as a testament to Dorian's unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. The client is contractor and also Dorian regular client, he ordered a steel structure warehouse from Dorian in 2019.

After that, client lost the contact with Dorian because of personal reasons. Until this year, client contacted Dorian proactively and revealed that the previous project is still in very good condition right now, and he plan to purchase the another project from Dorian at the early of 2026. The client also mentioned that he would take the final client to visit Dorian factory at the end of November.

The final client is in the brick manufacturing market and he want to expand his business, so he inquired a workshop to our contractor client. The project dimension is 32*70*12m workshop to be used as brick machine production line. The roughly layout drawing was provided by client and Dorian engineer made two proposals (metal sheet roof&wall, and rock wool sandwich roof&wall panels) for the project based on the client requirement for comparison.

In the afternoon of November 29th,2025, Dorian team picked up the clients from the Zhengzhou City to the factory. Firstly, Dorian team discuss the project details at the office, the client took the updated drawing with them, the partition rooms were required to be added inside and the dimension is 16.8*23m, which will be used for maintaining and drying the brick after finish the production, the height will be determined after client backed to Algeria and confirmed with his family members, the 50mm thickness rock wool sandwich panels will be adopted as roof and wall materials to keep insulation performance for partition rooms.

Furthermore, the column spacing in client’s drawing is 8m, Dorian engineer suggest adopting 6m, since the total materials weight of 6m columns spacing will be less than 8m and also will be cost-saving. Generally speaking, the anti-corrosion performance of hot-dip galvanized are the better than paint, but its cost will be higher a lot, so client also required this proposal to compare. Finally, the client requested Dorian to provide 12 proposals based on the latest drawings, including the hot-dip galvanized and Painting proposal, 6m and 8m columns spacing proposal, Metal sheet roof + wall, Insulation wool roof + rock wool sandwich wall panel, in order to compare and find the most suitable solution.

After the discussion the project details, Dorian team took the client to the production workshop, the production process of steel columns, beams, purlines and panels were introduced to the clients, they can see all the production details from raw materials, manufacturing process, including the cutting, drilling, welding, blasting and painting process. The final client was pretty satisfied with Dorian’s quality and profession.

Finally, we took the client to have dinner and sent them to the Zhengzhou City in the evening. The next cooperation will start soon.

The 12 proposals and quotation were provided to client within one week after confirm the project details, and the client is discussing with his family.

There are other points is worth to mentioned, Dorian can produce about 100 tons of goods per day, there are submerged arc-welding machine can meet the highest 2.5m goods to do large span of steel structure projects, blasting machine can blast the dust and welding slag and can also increase the adhesion of the steel surface.

For the painting, there are normally two layers of alkyd paint for the steel surface if no special requirement, and the thickness of paint can reach 120um. Moreover,, there are also epoxy zinc rich paint and hot-dip galvanized can be optional if you have higher anti-corrosion performance, the thickness of hot-dip galvanization can normally reach 80um. Welcome To Peru Client’s Engineer To Visit Dorian Factory And Discuss The Project Details

Project location: Lima, Peru

Project function: Processing, warehouse and cold storage room

The client is specialises in frozen foods of industry with a branch company in China, and importing and exporting kinds of frozen foods. In order to expand his business, he inquired about a 384m2 small cold rooms and a 11,200m2 of steel structure building to Dorian in October. The small cold room project will be purchased within this year and big project will be ordered next year. In order to discuss the modification details better, and understand the strength and scale of Dorian factory, the client arranged his engineer to came to China.  

The project details:

Dorian team took about three days of time to finish layout drawing and quotation after confirm the project details.

The detailed dimension of big project is 64*175*9m, Dorian engineer designed double span for 64m side, with 32m for each span. The whole building is respectly two phase, The first one will construct one span and then second phase. The 7m columns space for 175m side, 8m for 64m side considering the loading and economical issues. Since client mentioned that he prefer insulation materials, Dorian team suggested adopting rock wool sandwich panels as roof and wall, because he didn’t reveal that this project need cold storage rooms inside and other different division areas, so the whole project was designed based on a regular warehouse.

For the small cold storage project of 12*32*8m, Dorian team designed PIR sandwich panels as roof and wall, the layout drawing was finished only and didn’t calculate price, because client’s engineer would come to discuss the further modification details.

The client’s engineer and staff arrived in the Luoyang city on November 1st, Dorian picked up them in the morning and take them to visit factory directly. Firstly, the project details of 64*175*9m project were been talked, during the process of communication, Dorian team learned that the whole building need to be designed into four areas, respectively reception areas, processing area, warehouse area and cold storage area, but the exact dimensions for each area have to be confirmed with their department after backed to Peru. Except the cold storage area adopt 100mm PIR sandwich panels, other area will use rock wool sandwich panels.

For the small cold storage project, the client also requested second proposal to use metal sheet for the exterior roof and 100mm PIR sandwich panels as interior ceiling and wall for comparing.

The definition and function of Rock wool sandwich panel:

Rock wool board, also known as rock wool insulation and decorative board, is an inorganic fiber board made primarily from basalt through high-temperature melting and processing. It is a new type of insulation, fire-retardant, and sound-absorbing material. The artificial inorganic fibers produced through high-temperature melting and processing give rock wool board the characteristics of being lightweight, having low thermal conductivity, absorbing heat, and being non-combustible.                          

The definition and function of PIR sandwich panel:

Polyisocyanurate (PIR) is used in Sanhemei composite boards. PIR is formed through the trimerization of isocyanurate, introducing a cyclic structure and a high isocyanurate index into the compound, resulting in a dense polyisocyanate. This makes the internal rigid foam more stable and provides high heat resistance and flame retardancy. Experiments have shown that it can withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius for short periods and up to 160 degrees Celsius for long periods.

PIR foam generally achieves a fire resistance rating of B1, with a water absorption rate of up to 0.9%. Its temperature resistance range is approximately -196℃ to +205℃, all of these performance making PIR composite boards ideal for cold storage applications.

After confirmed all the project details, Dorian team take client to the production workshop, the production process of steel columns and beams, purlines and panels were introduced to the client, because the project is close to the sea and it needs  have anti-corrosion effect, so Dorian recommend two kinds of proposals (epoxy zinc rich paint and hot-dip galvanized) for comparing the cost. Both proposals have corrosion prevention effect, but the performance of hot-dip galvanized will be better and cost will be also higher accordingly .

The client’s engineer was amazed that Dorian factory have so many of production workshops, and the quality of product was also highly praised by client’s engineer, the were pretty satisfied with this visiting.

Dorian team have sent update proposal and quotation to client for his small 12*32*8m project already, and the modification details are waiting for client’s feedback.

Welcome To Our Thailand Client To Visit Dorian Factory And Discuss The Payment Details

Project dimension: 42*180*8.955m with partition rooms

Project location: Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand

Project function: Renting

The client are mainly in the furniture industry, he sent inquiry to Dorian around Jan 2025 to source a 7,560 square meter of warehouse to be used for renting.

Dorian has office in Thailand, after receiving the client’s inquiry, the local team visit client for many times to talk the project details face to face and also provide some suggestions tailored to his needs. Furthermore, client also went to visit the 8000m2 of project in Samut Sakhon, this further deepens customers' trust in Dorian team and he already decided to order to Dorian team, just need sometime to visit factory. The client also mentioned that he will order 15 stes of toilets, but he needs to check one sample firstly when he arrive at the Dorian factory later,the production of sample had been finished before client reach factory.

The project details:

Dorian team learned that there are totally two projects will be built during the communication with the client, the first one need to be purchased this year and the second one will be ordered in 2026. The client has own 3D drawing and Dorian engineer make proposal drawing according to 3D plan. There are many partition walls inside are designed so that it will be easier for renting to local people.Dorian engineer layout designed wall with 3.65m high brick wall up from the ground + 1.15m high louver + metal sheet wall according to 3D drawing. Since client do not have insulation requirement for this project, so Dorian recommended 0.4mm metal sheet for roof and wall to save much cost.

In addition,there are 15 sets of electrical roll up doors and 6 sets of small doors are designed for the building. Meanwhile  the awning was also added, which can not only protect the doors, and also protect people entering and leaving the gate from the summer sun and rain on ordinary days. The skylight wall panels are also designed for getting sufficient sunlight and provide a comfortable environment inside the building.

According to the economical and loading factors, the building was initially designed with a column spacing of 6 meters, while client prefer 7.5m columns spacing, so the column spacing are changed into 7.5m finally according to client requirement.

All the project details were confirmed in June and waiting for approval.

The factory visiting

After client got the approval in early October and decided to visit Dorian factory. The client and his assistant arrived in Luoyang on the evening of October 19th. Dorian team took them to dinner and then dropped them off at the hotel. On the morning of October 20th, Dorian team picked clients up to factory for visiting. The whole factory covers about 110 thousand square meters and has five production lines, including many professional production equipment, like Flame cutting machine, Laser cutting machine, Assembly machine, Submerged arc welding machine, Straightening machine, Blasting machine, Environmental friendly painting room etc, which can meet various of production of massive span.

The production equipment and production line of main frame(steel columns and beams) was introduced to client firstly. After that, Dorian also took clients to visit secondary frame workshop, purline and panels workshop. He specifically inquired about the zinc content of the purlins. The zinc content what Dorian provided is normally 100g/m2, which meets the customer's requirements for the zinc content of purlins.

At the same time, the client also saw many finished steel structure goods and sample toilet inside of the production workshop and pretty satisfied with products quality.

After that, Dorian team and client discussed the payment terms and installation plan with the customer. Ultimately, Dorian team and the client reached an agreement to do letter of credit. The client will send over a draft of the letter of credit after returning to Thailand. A detailed installation plan has also been developed, once the client completes the foundation work, the installation team will be dispatched to assist with the installation of the whole project.

On the October 21st, Dorian team took clients to visit scenic spots in Luoyang, including the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple. These two scenic spots are very famous and attract many domestic and foreign tourists every year.

The client went back to Thailand on October 22rd, the payment process is progressing. And we will also update you further information.

The client sent an inquiry to Dorian team around mid-September, and during subsequent communications, expressed a desire to visit the factory.

The Dorian team picked up the client on the evening of September 26th at the high-speed train station and  took them to dinner, then escorted them to their hotel.

Dorian team took the client to the factory at 8:30 a.m. the following day, the customer's drawings were printed out one day in advance, and the engineer studied the drawings in advance to facilitate on-site and customer confirmation of details. The project dimensions is 50.4m wide x 105m long x 9.2 meters high at the shoulder.

Because the project was located near the sea, Dorian engineer recommended aluminum metal sheet for the roof and wall panels. Compared with galvanized steel sheet, aluminum sheet also has higher tensile strength and can withstand significant external forces. Furthermore, it typically uses a fluorocarbon coating, which offers excellent durability, resists UV rays and corrosion, and has a service life of up to 25 years. Therefore, aluminum steel sheet was a better option.

Because this project primarily used for storing large construction equipment, the client desired open space within the building, thus eliminating the design of center columns. Furthermore, the drawings already showed detailed column and purlins spacing, which Dorian team calculated based on the requirements.

To achieve some cost savings, Dorian engineer recommended the use of a stainless steel, non-powered hood ventilation ball instead of ventilation bridge. Its primary function is ventilation, promoting air circulation within the building. And can extracts hot and humid air through continuous rotation, while simultaneously bringing fresh air in, another major benefit of the hood is its ease of installation and minimal maintenance.

Ladders provide safety during high-altitude work, ensuring workers can safely perform tasks at height and enabling people to quickly and safely exit dangerous areas in emergencies.Two cage ladders were also used for this project, and the Dorian team recommended appropriate sizes for them.

The client will be searching for windows locally to prevent damage during long-distance transportation.

Visiting the production workshop:

After discussing all the project details, the Dorian team took the client to the production workshop. Dorian factory covers a total area of 11,000 square meters and have five production lines, capable of meeting the client's diverse needs. In addition to producing standard steel structure warehouses and workshop, Dorian also support manufacture chicken house buildings, cattle sheds, sheep sheds, horse shed, commercial buildings, prefabricated houses, color-coated steel plates, composite panels, and more.

The daily production capacity of the workshop is 100 tons, with a monthly output of approximately 3,000 tons. If the client needs the goods urgently, Dorian workers can prioritize production according to your need.

First, we took the client on a tour of the H-beam production workshop, which features a variety of production equipment, including laser cutting machines, flame cutting machines, fully automatic punching machines, shearing machines, drilling machines, submerged arc welding machines, straightening machines, shot blasting machines, and an environmentally friendly paint room, all designed to meet the client's diverse production needs.

After production is completed, Dorian team also has a professional quality inspection department and delivery team to arrange inspection and delivery. If the customer requires installation, Dorian generally offer three suggestions. First, we can send an engineer to the site to guide the local workers, which can significantly reduce costs. Second, we can send an entire installation team to the site, which can improve installation efficiency. Third, we can send our African installation team, who can install worldwide and offer lower costs than Chinese installation teams. We can arrange installation based on your needs.

Afterwards, we took the customer to visit the color steel plate workshop, where we have professional tile presses, bending machines, purlin machines, and other equipment capable of producing C-section steel, Z-section steel, color plate, hemming, and other products.

Dorian delivery team happened to be shipping goods to Thailand during the factory visit. The customer witnessed the delivery process and product quality firsthand. They were amazed that delivery team could complete a container loading in about 20 minutes and were very satisfied with Dorian’s delivery efficiency.

Dorian’s product quality, production capacity, and delivery process etc were highly praised by the customer. After the factory visit, Dorian escorted the customer to the high-speed rail station and promised to provide the price before the Chinese National Day holiday.
