800 Square Meters Steel Warehouse In Philippines

Project information:

Project location:  Philippines

Project size: 20*40*6m

Project application: Equipment storage

Project details:  EPS sandwich panel for the roof, single layer steel sheet for the wall+ skylight panel.

Project Background:

The Philippines customer knows from his business cooperative partner that Dorian has been focusing on the designing and manufacturing of different kinds of steel structure buildings for over 20 years. With low cost and high quality, Dorian has wide markets in Southeast Asia and its products are welcomed and popular by customers from Philippines, Thailand, Singapore etc. Therefore this customer sends an inquiry to Dorian in March, 2021. This project is a 20*40*6m steel structure workshop in Philippines, which is used for fruit can processing. Philippines is tropical rainforest climate, which is characterized by high temperature and abundant rain and high humidity. With high requirements for insulation and waterproofing, the client hoped that Dorian would provide a design solution that would suit the local climate.

Project design:

Taking into account the local climate, Dorian’s engineers suggest using 50mm EPS sandwich panel as the material of roof panel. Because the EPS sandwich panel can achieve the customer's insulation requirements while having excellent water resistance.

In order to save total cost, Dorian’s engineers recommend that the single layer steel sheets are used as the wall panel. In addition, the 1m brick wall is designed down the wall panel, which has the function of protection to the steel building.

The skylight panels are also installed on the wall and roof, which can make the sunlight enter this building and make it brighter. It’s also a very economical method of lighting. Besides, Dorian also suggests installing the ventilation ball on the roof so as to speed the air circulation inside this workshop.

This design proposal not only meets with the requirements of waterproofing and insulation, but also achieves the customer’s expectations. So the customer accepts it and decides to purchase from Dorian.

The production and installation

As there exists abundant rain and fierce sunlight in Philippines, the steel workshop is exposed on the outdoor, which will be easily damaged and eroded by natural environment. Therefore, we adopt the environmental lacquer to paint on the steel frames, which can avoid the steel frames eroded. Normally the steel frames will be painted by two layers lacquer. The first layer is usually the red base, and the color of the second layer can be customized. The customer chooses the industrial gray, this color is mostly used by our customers.
