Background

In March, Dorian group received the message of 900 square meters steel garage with office. Customer sent us a complete CAD drawings, including building dimensions, ground floor layout, first floor layout, etc. Engineer made a complete structure drawing and elevation drawings according to customer’s drawings. After one month discussion, the final dimensions are confirmed, 20x20x8m garage, 10x20x8m two-story office, 20x5x4m restaurant. Customer needs a full sets of drawing to apply for permit, Dorian group provided and modified these drawings based on customer’s needs.

According to local building standard, customer modified the quantity of anchor bolts, purlin dimensions, window quantity and position, galvanization thickness, also needed the inspection certificate of raw materials, purlin, panels, bolts etc. The mostly important thing customer mentioned was galvanization thickness, 80μm. Because Mauritius is a island country, close to the sea and has a strong wind, there are strict requirements for steel buildings. Steel building must be resist strong wind, and hot dipped galvanized surface treatment for steel components, our engineer design the final drawing that totally meet local standard.

Production & packaging

After two months of application, customer got the building permit, production work can be proceed accordingly. All the production work are completed within one month. Customer asks to inspect the goods by video and introduces the goods one by one, from steel column/beam to secondary parts, panels, windows, doors, bolts etc. We dated to inspect the goods on a sunny Thursday and introduced the goods according to customer’s schedule.

For the packing, we prepared a steel pallet to fix the goods, the weight of steel pallet is about one ton, it is free. All the steel components will be put on the steel pallet neatly and tightly to ensure max use of container space and save the cost for customer. Then we will use steel wire and channel steel to reinforce the steel components to avoid movement issue during the long transportation process. Most of our customers told us our packing ways was very excellent, no damage issue of steel components, and they can secondary use the steel pallet.

Installation

After one and a half month, customer received the goods and started foundation work according to the drawing. All the installation documents we sent to customer are totally meet customer’s standard, which include steel column/beam installation drawing, secondary parts installation drawing, roof/wall panel installation drawing, bolts position and quantity drawing etc. Engineer make these drawings according to final drawings. We can also modify the installation drawings according to customer’s requirements.
