The client first came to Dorian was in March, 2022, when he was eagerly looking for a trustworthy supplier of steel structure building. According to him, he already had a workshop that was built 15 years ago, however, the old one is too small to support his waste recycling business for now, and it was a little bit rusty, which made him concern about the safety, therefore, he decided to build a larger workshop. After days of work, he found Dorian has rich experience in this field and has already built many projects in the US, he sent us an inquiry for the steel structure workshop.
Design
After several times of video meetings, our client settled all the details of the project, he chose black color of steel sheet panel for roof and wall for the better insulation since Houston has long hours of sunshine. The workshop was designed in half-opening style considering the his business need: the opening area will be used for preparation processes, then the cargo will be processed in the indoor workshop, and also it will have better ventilation.
In only one day, our engineer finished the design of this half-opening style workshop, with 2/3 of indoor working area and 1/3 of outdoor working area. The client highly appreciated Dorian’s efficiency and excellent design, which was later reviewed by his architect and soon passed the building approval from the government. Then the client officially sent Dorian the order of the project, after paid the deposit, he told us that he need to build this project as soon as possible.
Production
Only in two days, our engineer finished the specific drawing of the building and foundation plan and presented them to the client. After confirmation with the client, Dorian started the manufacturing, meanwhile instructed the client with the foundation works on the project site. Dorian finished the manufacturing of this project within two weeks and arranged the closest shipment date.
To save the budget for our client, all the cargo was loaded in one of 40HQ container, to optimize the space of the container, Dorian scientifically arranged the loading of each parts on the steel plate and tied the cargo with several steel bar to keep it safe during the long term of transportation.
Erection of the workshop
Two months later, the cargo finally arrived at the project site, before cargo arrived, the client has already finished all the foundation works. To help the client build the workshop, Dorian provided a complete installation manual covering all steps of the erection and online video instruction from our engineers. Since all the parts have been prefabricated in the factory, all the on-site work is connecting them with the bolts, the workshop was built in only 25 days with 5 workers.
In 15th August 2022, the workshop for the waste recycling yard is finished and has been put in use from then.
