576 Square Meter Steel structure building in Mauritius

One 600 square meters steel structure building was delivered to Mauritius in June, 2023. Dorian team designed and manufactured this steel structure building and it will be installed by client in Louis, Mauritius.
Dorian team got the building drawings from client, the size is 24x24x9.8m, a 24m long partition wall in the middle of this building, The drawings were marked with 0.7 mm aluminum roof and wall panels, galvanized steel frames, a 5 ton crane on one side, and a total of 2 cranes.This building will be used as forklift shed and warehouse to store goods.
Client mentioned that there was an exist building in the north of this project, old building and new building will use one same wall, engineer need to consider the exist wall when designing the new steel structure building. The wall panel, wall purlin and secondary steel frame are not needed on this shared wall.
This building has a single slope from West to East, one side is 8.5m high, another side is 9.8m high, it is easy to drainage. Clients asked to put 6 sets of electric rolling doors, one 24m side put 3 sets of 4.5x4.5m electric rolling doors. In addition, add 18m long and 1.5m wide canopy on the doors, 1m eave overhang on the three sides for easy drainage and avoid the water into the warehouse.
There are two sets of single beam overhead crane in the warehouse, each 12x24m warehouse has one crane, lifting weight is 5t, lifting height is 6m, crane span is 11m, crane traveling length is 24m, power of crane can be customized. Single beam overhead crane, double beam overhead crane, gantry crane, European crane etc are widely used in steel structure building, Dorian team can provide a complete building and crane solution for client.
On the other hand, this project is close to the sea, sea wind, soil, and water will corrosion the steel structure building, so this building need the better corrosion resistance function. Compared with paint steel, the better corrosion resistance function is galvanized steel. Paint is easy to fell off, and galvanized steel adopts hot dip galvanizing process, which will not feel off and can better protect the surface of steel structure.
Roof and wall panel use 0.7mm aluminum sheet in this project, aluminum sheet has a good corrosion resistance function comparing with the regular color steel sheet. Normally, three types of metal sheet are widely used as roof wall panels: aluminum sheet, zinc aluminized sheet, galvanized steel sheet. Aluminum has a better anti-corrosion effect comparing with galvanization.
Production work was finished within 15 days. Client inspected the cargoes through video, especially checked the zinc layer thickness with the professional equipment. A steel pallet as bottom frame to fix the cargoes, which will keep the safety of cargoes and easy to load and unload. Client purchased one 40HQ container to store the steel components this time, and they can also use the container to put other items in the future.
Client will receive the cargoes in August, erection work will start in this year.
