Project background:
The client is LOVOL equipment distributor from Philippines and mainly specializes in selling kinds of industrial, agricultural and commercial equipment locally.
In order to store kinds of equipment, like forklift, tractor, excavator, loading machine etc, customer ordered two steel structure warehouses from Dorian in 2020&2021 separately .
The client has an area covers about 10,000 square meters and mentioned that he would build warehouses on this area in batches. Then Dorian engineer took the connection factor into account when designed the first project, so that they can be connected together when installing the subsequent projects. The first two projects size were the same, both they were 20mx50mx6m and bonded into one 50m*40m*6m building in the second stage(2021).
Taking into account the local weather condition and the requirement of the client, Dorian designed the metal sheet as the wall and roof panel for the two steel buildings. The client required that the surface of the whole steel structure frame and wall must be coated white color paint, the surface of the roof panel coated gray color. According to the color provided by the customer, Dorian produced the steel structure component that can meet these requirements.
While, there was one difference between two projects is that the second 20m*50m*6m project was designed with offices, the wall was also equipped with regular metal sheet as client need. Initially, the client request a mezzanine and planed it as 3 offices. But because of increasing sea freight caused by the covid-19 and other special requirement of client, Dorian’s engineer revised the design and redesigned an economical and optimized solutions to 2 offices on the ground floor with the height of 3 meter.
It worth to noted that Dorian engineer also leaved the attachment position for the second project, as client mentioned that he would also build another buildings in the future and need to be connected with the previous projects.
So far, the first two projects had been in use for several years and plenty of equipment are placed in the building.
Project Design:
The client inquired another building 50*40*6m initially in August, 2023. This new project needed to be attached with previous projects, so Dorian engineer designed 6.5m and 6.75m column spacing for side wall, 6.25m column spacing for the end wall, they were the same as last two projects. The wall of 1-Axis was already finished in the second stage(2021), and it would be shared with the current project.
The span layout was also designed into same as last two, twin span were designed in 50m side, 25m for each span, and two types gutter(metal sheet gutter and galvanized gutter) were designed. Galvanized gutter were placed in the middle of span, metal sheet gutter was placed in the two sides span to save cost.
Moreover, the transparent panels were also added on the roof to get more sunlight in the daylight. Both roof and wall were the metal sheet and color(gray roof and white wall) with late two projects.
Windows and roof ventilators were also adopted to keep the whole building in fresh air condition, and workers can also improve working efficiency under this comfortable situation. In addition, considering the usage of this project, one 1*2m small door, four 3*3m sliding doors and four 4*4m roll up doors were also suggested to design to facilitate access for client’s equipment and trucks as last two.
Dorian provided the layout drawing and quotation in 10 hour after confirmed all the details. Client said that he was still very satisfied with proposal design and price after checked them. But he need some time to get the building approval, and he promised to place the order as soon as he got the permit.
The client got the permission at the beginning of Oct, 2023. Based on his requirement, Dorian engineer modified the project size 50*40*6m into 50*45*6m finally, since he wanted expand extra 5x50m bay to be used as one big canopy. Besides, client asked Dorian for helping him to search 4pcs additional negative pressure fans, which can creates a negative pressure environment indoors and allows indoor air to flow outdoors, thereby eliminating indoor harmful gases and pollutants.
After updated the final proposal and quotation to client with negative pressure fans, he ordered to Dorian in Mid-Oct, 2023 .
Production&delivery
All the doors, wall and steel frame were still needed to be painted with white. The client hope can receive goods as soon as possible, so after confirmed production details, Dorian gave priority to produce his goods, which were finished production in 14days and loaded in the 3pcs 40HQ containers. Dorian workers took three days to pack the goods to fix on steel frame pallet, this can keep goods in balanced condition and can also avoid collision and broken during long transportation so that client would receive goods in perfect condition.
Installation
The client finished the foundation work in advance based on foundation layout of Dorian. All the installation documents, installation drawing, installation manual and video also be sent to client.
The installation work of steel building is proceeding, the whole steel frame and doors, roof and wall panels have been finished assembly. The windows will be finished installation within this week and put into use soon.
The most important, Dorian engineer and manager are currently in Manila, Philippines and plan to stay longer. They also visited client in the 7th March, 2024. The cooperation work is still ongoing, and subsequent projects information are confirming.
