The project progress:
The client inquired steel structure building this Jan, which is used as workshop to produce concrete materials. Then Dorian engineer recommended 18m high for this workshop according to dimension of concrete equipment. So the angle steel was also designed as wall bracing to keep the whole steel structure stronger based on project height.
And skylight panel was also designed for part of the roof and wall so that whole steel building brighter under the same conditions and also saved much cost, as skylight panel was much more economical for the large size building compared with windows. Besides, 3m high concrete columns on the ground and 3m high brick wall were designed based on the function of this workshop, which can prevent the concrete, sand and stone from destroying the whole building during the running of machines.
At last, the client was pretty satisfied with our professional suggestion after considering the feasibility and ordered two weeks later.
Dorian team provided two proposal for client, H shape steel structure and Truss steel structure for roof+H shape steel for wall. The client chose to adopt Truss steel structure+H shape steel for wall finally.
H shape steel is the regular proposal what Dorian provide and most of clients chose this proposal. Our workers prefabricated whole steel structure parts(steel beams,columns and secondary frame) in our factory, client need to connect all the steel structure parts with bolts only according to Dorian drawing locally, which is the most convenient proposal to install and can save much installation time and labor cost.
Truss steel structure building have lighter weight compared with H shape steel and suitable for the large span steel building, which can save much material cost. Because the span of this project is 45m, so the arch-truss steel structure roof is the most reasonable based on the customer’s requirement and local conditions.
The production:
Dorian prefabricated all the steel columns and purlins in factory. The client visited Dorian factory and inspected the goods as he was pretty concerned about the production and quality issues. After inspected Dorian’s equipment and worker’s operation for production, client highly praised of the welding capacity and professional level.
The installation:
For the truss steel structure roof, all the raw material was delivered to the construction site and Dorian installation team did the whole welding work locally. All the round tube parts were finished prefabrication welding together on the ground to shape into the truss steel structure beam. Afterwards, each beam was welded on the steel columns by hand. The wall purlins were connected with steel columns by common bolt and fixed on the purlins plate, and roof purlins connected beams by welding. Roof pane and wall panel were installed after proceeding the main frame and secondary frame. Then doors and brick wall were finished finally....
All the installation work finished with one month and has already put into use.
