Project background
Dorian received the inquiry from the client in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, which is about a 3,000sqm steel warehouse for storing equipment.
After receiving the inquiry, Dorian asked the detailed dimension and project location, and then Dorian professional designer checked the wind load and snow load and some other data accordingly to meet the requirement of the formal design.
The client is a large local manufacturer of equipment. For expanding business, a new warehouse is needed for storing cargoes. Before designing, Dorian experienced designer learned that all the equipment don’t have high insulation requirements, and suggested that single steel sheet as the roof and wall panel is the best choice. On the other hand, the shipping cost to Central America was the highest when client sent inquiry, single steel sheet only takes up small container space, which will save a lot of shipping cost.
After collecting all the information, it only took Dorian one day for preparing the drawing. Considering that there is a lot of rainfall locally, Dorian designed two large canopies and surrounded the whole building, which has a great shelter from the rain, and also makes the whole building look more beautiful. After confirmed the proposal and quotation, client paid 30% deposit readily.
Production process
As a professional manufacturer, in addition to the regular color, Dorian also provide customized color service. For the steel structure frame, client chosen the most common industry gray, and customized green as the color of the roof and wall panel.
Dorian kept close contact with the client, and also took pictures and videos to share every steps of the production process. For protection each single steel sheet better, Dorian skilled workers put the film on each sheet surface in the production process. The film can effectively prevent the sheet surface from being scratched, and can also prevent dust from falling on the sheet.
Before loading, Dorian skilled workers packed all the single steel sheet according to different sizes with packing bags, and also remarked the size and usage on the package surface, which can help client find each panel easily, and also has great help for client do the installation work.
Loading & Installation
The warehouse were loaded by 5x40HQ in one days, all the cargoes were fixed on the steel pallet orderly and tightly by flat bar, which can greatly improve the loading and unloading efficiency, and also can avoid the collision and damage issue happened during the long transportation. After client received the cargoes, all the cargoes are in good condition.
