2,160 m² Steel Structure Plastic Factory in Thailand: Full Design-to-Delivery Process

The client is a contractor and he sent a inquiry to Dorian company for his client at the end of March, 2025 to inquired a 24*90*10.8m project, which will be used as a plastic production factory. He sent his own drawing, which include a 3ton overhead crane, high tower and mezzanine office, and column spacing, the position of crane and high tower already been shown in the drawing. Moreover, the client requested that the design take the possibility of installing solar panels on the roof into account later. Dorian engineer designed proposal according to layout details of client’s drawing. But the specification of steel were designed based on Chinese standard, which will be more cost effective and easier to be installed. All of our clients from Thailand are also designed and exported according to our Chinese stand, which is also meet the international standard.
In addition, because client proposed that need to consider thermal insulation for roof and wall, so glass wool materials were recommend for roof, which is the most economical insulation materials for roof. The 50mm thickness of rock wool sandwich panels were suggested for wall,which is the mostly used of insulation panels and also have good fireproof effect. The 3ton of overhead crane also been quoted, Dorian is not only in the field of steel structure and sandwich panels, but also can provide all kinds of crane, equipment and solar panels system etc.
Dorian engineer finish detailed proposal drawing and quotation and sent to client within two days after confirm the project details. After review and discussion with their engineering team, the client asked Dorian to change the position of high tower according the update drawing and replaced the rock wool sandwich wall panel with PU edge rock wool sandwich wall panel, since its insulation performance is better than rock wool sandwich panel. At the same time, they also required Dorian to optimize the proposal to save some cost asap in April 24th, 2025. Dorian engineering team discussed and figured out a optimized proposal. The second proposal and quotation were sent to client in April 28th, 2025.
After review the second proposal and quotation, client was pretty satisfied and revealed that they have to wait about two month to get funds. Until the early of July, client backed and informed Dorian he decide to order but only need to change a small details, the glass windows need to be fixed in the gable wall only, and window and anchor bolts will be purchased from locally. This can save much their time, because they can do the foundation in advance before goods arrived the project site. The Third update proposal and quotation sent to client in the July 6th, 2025. After checked Dorian update proposals, client asked the Dorian to do Proforma invoice and pay the deposit within two days.
The steel structure frame and panels were required to be painted with white colors. The overhead crane is painted with beautiful orange colors and It took about 25days to finish the production after confirm colors details. It needs 9*40HQ containers to load all of goods and the goods were packed with steel frame pallet, this can keep goods in balance condition and very easier to unload for client. The ship was departed at the end of September and arrive in the port Laem Chabang in the middle of the October. Before the customer receives the goods, Dorian team sent the whole set of installation drawings and installation brochure and installation video and unloading precautions so that they can unload the goods and finish installation smoothly. Installation team is also optional for Dorian team anytime.
The goods reach the final project site about the end of October, all of goods were loaded smoothly, Dorian’s package methods were highly praised by client. Because client has his own construction team to do construction,the foundation work has been completed in advance, they started to do installation work in early November. During the installation of steel columns and beams, client’s team met some problems. Dorian team went to the project site directly to help client solve some the problems, they are very satisfied with Dorian’s after-sales service. So far, they have finished the installation of steel frame with roof. The project will be put into use about January, 2026.
Because of the trust to Dorian, client also introduced his friends to Dorian and they also need the steel structure building, Dorian engineer already sent the detailed proposal and quotation list to their friend already.
