Project background:

The client sent request to Dorian in Jan, 2023. After deep communication with client, Dorian learned that this was his own project and would be used as a cow shed.

The original size what client initially planned is 20x60x5m. The client required that the building has good insulation performance, so according to the customer's requirements, rock wool sandwich panels with good insulation effect were selected as the roof and wall panels. Dorian engineer finished proposal and quotation within 12 hours of getting the details of project, and after one day of study and discussion with his architect, the client asked Dorian team to check shipping cost for reference.

Meanwhile, due to local policy requirements, the client had to apply for construction approval from the local authority in advance. As a result, the client informed Dorian that he was now in the process of applying for construction approvals from the local government and would not purchase a steel building until he had received the permits, which would take approximately several months to obtain.

Project design:

Dorian team has also kept in touch with client. After three months, client got permission and contacted Dorian team he would decide to go ahead the order. Moreover, the final project size was changed and need to be redesigned. Besides, client also informed Dorian team he would put solar panels on the roof later.  

The final project size was 50m*26m*4m, which was required to equip with rock wool sandwich roof pane and the wall would be open. The most importantly, the roof load of solar panels also be taken into account, usually the roof load is about 25kg/m2 if added solar panels on it. If you have also this requirement, pls inform us in advance so that our engineer can take this factor into account during designing.
