Dorian team delivered a 1200M2 steel structure building to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire in June, 2023. Client will receive the steel building in August, 2023, then start to install this building.
Client from Cote d'Ivoire sent a steel building request and drawing to Dorian team in March 2023, it was an irregular building about 1200 square meters, client’s engineer made the layout drawing based on the land shape. Dorian’s engineer made a structure drawings according to client’s layout. Like the following pictures, 21x35x6m space to process cocoa bean, 18x25.28x6m to store cocoa bean and 10x5x6m space as office, total 1240 square meters.
Client wants to build half of this building in the first step, 21x35x6m cocoa bean processing workshop and 10x5x6m office, about 800 square meters, and build the rest half of building in November. Considering the shipping cost, raw materials cost and construction time/cost, Dorian team recommended client purchase and build a whole building this time. Engineer made two proposal for client, a complete building proposal and half of building proposal. Client considered and calculated two proposal, then still insist his choice.
Sandwich panel and single layer steel sheet are the routine roof/wall cladding materials of steel structure building. The core materials of sandwich panel are usually rock wool, EPS, PU ,different core materials are suitable for different environment. Rock wool sandwich panel has a better insulation function, widely used in hot and cold regions. EPS sandwich panel has a better waterproof function, widely used in rainy areas. PU sandwich panel has better moistureproof and heat insulation functions, widely used as cold areas, cold room, food factory etc. Single layer steel sheet are widely used for regular steel structure buildings. Engineer will recommend suitable roof and wall panels according to project location and application.
The temperature of Abidjan is about 25-38 degrees, high temperatures throughout the year, so the insulation function of this building is very important. Customer choose single layer steel sheet as wall, single layer steel sheet+glass wool roll with wire mesh as roof. As the glass wool roll also has a good insulation function, and economic than sandwich panel, and some of clients located in high temperature places will choose this roof solution.

About the first transportation, engineer calculated the weight and volume according to the space of one 40HQ container, half of steel columns/beams, panels and all bolts are enough to put into one 40HQ container, Dorian team sent this suggestion and client agreed to it after discussion. Factory finished all production work and delivery work within 20 days.
