Project background:
This project is a two storey construction of general warehouse located in Maldives. The client contacted Dorian in March, 2022 initially and shared a sketch. It is an 20.55x21.59x9.4m irregular building with 2 storey, the height of ground floor is 4.8m, second floor is 4.6m. Ground floor is used for warehouse, booster workshop and sewerage storage(20.55x21.59x4.8m). Second floor is office, tea room, connection storage and etc (20.55x21.59x4.6m).
Project design
After studied the sketch and communicated with client initially. Then, customized proposal drawing was designed by Dorian’s professional engineer. Considering the insulation requirement, Dorian recommended 50mm rock wool sandwich panel as roof and wall panels, the client accepted Dorian’s advice.
Project confirmation & Production
Client was satisfied with the quotation offered and drawing that Dorian designed. The only concern from the client is whether the load could meet local requirements.In response, Dorian provided the client with a detailed steel frame calculation showing that the design complied with local safety regulations. Then the client acquired the construction permission and paid deposit to Dorian soon. After received deposit, Dorian started to manufacture the cargoes.
Dorian also provided clients layout foundation with the specific size as soon as possible, which helped the customer save time by preparing the layout locally when waiting for the products delivery. With the guidance of Dorian’s document, all the foundation work of the project was proceeded, which guarantee the accuracy of installation work afterwards.
Secure Packaging for Transport
Dorian also think highly of lower the risk of damage during cargoes transportation. To achieve this, they prepared a specially designed steel pallet during the packaging process. The flat bar of the pallet can help to fix the cargoes tightly. This solution provides effective protection for all components of the steel structure, ensuring that they arrival safely at the project site, guaranteeing the installation process and saving loading and unloading time and resources.
Installation
After receiving the cargoes, client started installation work according to Dorian’s installation documents. With local installation team and Dorian’s installation brochure, the client finished total installation including structure, stairs and panels successfully. By the way, client also decorated the building himself. Now, this prefab steel building has been put into use.
