Dorian is pleased to be working with a leading textile manufacturer in Guatemala, known for its high quality products and enjoying strong local demand. In order to expand its business, the client inquired in March 2024 for a 48m (width) x 100m (length) x 10m (eave height) steel structure factory, which is dedicated to textile production.

Because the client has its own professional engineers team,so they designed the preliminary drawing and sent it to the Dorian team. Dorian team confirm the project details with client’s engineer, refining and optimizing it with a two-span solution for the 48m width based on local weather condition and cost efficiency.

Dorian engineer also designed 10% roof slope for this project, achieving a ridge height of 11.2m to meet functional and budgetary requirements. At the same time, Dorian’s engineers also added a gutter configuration on the top. The functions of the gutter are as follows:

1. Collect rainwater: It guides rainwater to the drain or sewer system through the shape and slope of the groove to prevent water from accumulating on the roof or penetrating into the building.

2. Waterproof protection: It plays a role in waterproof protection, effectively draining rainwater from the roof and reducing the time water stays on the building. This helps reduce the risk of water penetration and prevents water damage to building structures and materials.

3. Maintain building structures: By draining water in time, the gutter can maintain the stability and durability of the building structure.
